About The Position

The Senior Underwriter, Reinsurance, will be a key member of the Westfield A&H Underwriting team. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting Managed Care, Provider Excess and other specialty products.
Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer A&H, you will be a key contributor to the overall management, growth, and profitability of our business.
Lead our entry into new products and markets such as Provider Excess and Managed Care
Develop and execute underwriting strategies for assigned products.
Manage the relationship and profitability of your assigned MGU accounts
Work directly with brokers to develop business flow and successfully acquire business
Part of and present new and renewal opportunities to our Peer Review team (UW, Actuarial, Claims).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10 years underwriting HMO and Provider Excess covers.

Nice To Haves

• Employer Stop Loss experience a plus, as is familiarity with the Xpert system
• Established broker relationships
• Program management experience
