Government Public Sector Sales Manager Job Description Summary Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services. Works with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. Job Description The GOVT Sales Manager will be trained with in-depth knowledge of their assigned sales category- OMNIA Partners and/or Cooperative Contract as well as Direct Customer Awards/Contracts. They will maintain the technical data, sales expertise, inventory requirements, warranty procedures, sales techniques and performance metrics for all categorical products. Also, they will know and communicate the OMNIA Partners and/or Cooperative Contract sales program to local leadership and sales teams. The GOVT Sales Managers will have a strong understanding of key sales programs, i.e. . CTI, Moto -Shop , T&E, HD, PBE, and mainly the OMNIA Partners Program, to successfully communicate the product opportunities within the programs and help promote the programs through all Team Members to Public Agencies, and Non-Profit customers who are Members of the OMNIA Partners and/or Cooperative Contract program as well as support any Direct Contract Awards/Contracts. SALES PLANS The GOVT Sales Manager will be accountable to assist all Advance and CARQUEST stores in selling the OMNIA Partners and/or Cooperative Contract program through their assigned regions and/or stores to professional customers served by the stores. Selling product will primarily be accomplished by establishing scheduled sales calls made with all commercial customer types served by that specific store. Specialist will work primarily with store team members; CAMs, CSMs, GMs, and CPP’s to sell agency customers Advance and CARQUEST products. Sales target amounts will be established by store, by sales category, by line, and used to create store, regional and national sales goals for the given product line and sales category.
