Premier specialty distributor of building materials in North America, is seeking a dynamic Specialty Products Manager. Elevate your career by leading the charge in identifying and developing ancillary products, driving revenue growth in specified markets, and executing a winning territory plan. Position Snapshot: Spearhead the specialty product roadmap, defining and executing the divisional strategy. Uncover new opportunities beyond our existing product lines. Provide strategic sales and marketing guidance to your team, establishing Regional Champions. Take ownership as the Specialty Products liaison in the Central Division, driving implementation, evaluation, and development of the specialty sales platform. Manage the entire lifecycle of the specialty product line, from strategic planning to tactical activities. Stay ahead of market requirements through ongoing research and customer interactions. Develop pricing strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals. Contribute to purchasing strategies for enhanced sales and profit performance. Collaborate with vendors and explore exclusive agreements. Present face-to-face demos to sales teams and target customers. Drive action plans, identify sales leads, and incorporate technology to achieve goals. Demonstrate a self-managing, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years business development experience in the building materials industry with focus on fasteners or tools.
  • Self-starter with a track record of working independently.
  • Exceptional qualifying and prospecting skills.
