About The Position

The Specialty Practice Manager is responsible for managing the operations of specialty clinics and services within the health center. This role ensures smooth day-to-day workflows, compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, and effective coordination between providers, staff, and patients. The manager plays a key role in supporting clinical efficiency, patient satisfaction, and access to specialty care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting (specialty care or FQHC experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.
  • It is mandatory that all employees, employed providers and volunteers are vaccinated. All hired candidates must submit proof of vaccination prior to their orientation. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of specialty care services, including scheduling, staffing, and patient flow.
  • Supervise and develop administrative and clinical support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with FQHC, HRSA, OSHA, and state/federal regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient access, quality outcomes, and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with specialty providers, primary care teams, and leadership to ensure coordinated, integrated care.
  • Manage budgets, purchasing, and inventory for specialty practices.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and enhance patient care.
  • Serve as a liaison between specialty departments, executive leadership, and external partners.
