About The Position

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Verify appropriate and accurate patient information Enter prescription data into pharmacy system Fills medication requests and completes required documentation Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues Ensure inventory stock levels of drug items, ancillary supplies, and compounding supplies are maintained at appropriate levels. Other assignments and projects as needed Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Pharmacy
  • 3 years Retail Pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
  • Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

  • 1 year Outpatient Hospital Pharamcy
  • 1 year Epic Willow Ambulatory
