Nemours is seeking a Specialty Nurse, PACU to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE. The Perioperative Specialty Nurse is responsible for an area of specialized nursing practice, and indirect care to patients and their families in the perioperative settings. Utilizes the nursing process as a basis for providing and evaluating nursing care, coordinates and facilitates patient needs prior to day of surgery, offers education and instruction to patient guardians prior to day of surgery, and works collaboratively with the perioperative team to prepare the patient for surgery. Applies knowledge of growth and development, pathophysiology and family dynamics in delivery of care.
