Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Kansas Position Information: Schedules appointments for Specialty Clinic providers. Responsible to the Specialty Clinic Manager Days: Monday through Friday Hours: 8 am to 5 pm Pay Range: Dependent upon experience. What you’ll do: Coordinate communications between patients and medical staff Schedule appointments for Specialty Clinic providers Mail required paperwork to patients prior to appointment Answers telephones, screens, takes messages, and provides necessary information Strict adherence to HIPAA, PHI, and confidentiality Complete other duties as assigned What you bring to the table: Required - High School Diploma/GED Preferred - Medical terminology and 2 years related clerical experience in health care setting Customer and personal service to include meeting needs, assess and resolve issues, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate satisfaction Ability to maintain good working relationship with all personnel Ability to communicate clearly To be successful within our organization you will need to: Self-starter who takes initiative, is open minded and a team player Maintain a positive attitude with good energy Create a positive, supportive working atmosphere Display integrity and accountability Accept and respond to constructive criticism and suggestions and strives for self-improvement Adhere to organization policies and procedures Arrive at work on time and when scheduled Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and ingenuity in performing job tasks Demonstrate professional conduct and maintains professional appearance Demonstrate behavior that reflects the image of the institution Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Typical Working Conditions: Requires sitting at a desk while answering the telephone, placing phone calls and scheduling appointments on a computer.
