About The Position

As an Alteryx Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and maintaining the Alteryx platform within our organization. You will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and continuously improving Alteryx to support data analytics, automation, and data processing workflows. This position requires a strong understanding of Alteryx, data integration, and cloud infrastructure, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements

Proficiency in Alteryx Designer, including data intake, transformation, analysis, and visualization
Proficiency in Alteryx Server, including, architecture, administration, optimization, deploying and managing Alteryx workflows
In-depth experience with Azure cloud platform and experience with Alteryx in a cloud environment
Experience with Alteryx in an enterprise environment with user managed MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas Cloud
Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data analytics
Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations
Understanding of security best practices, including user authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability management
Hands-on experience with Alteryx Macro development and scripting languages like Python, or PowerShell for automation and Python is a strong plus
Familiarity with data warehousing and database technologies
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate diverse perspectives, and develop effective solution
Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and document work effectively
Data-driven mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with data analysts, data scientists, and other team members
Effective Project Management and organizational skills to manage prioritize and meet deadlines
High School diploma/GED required

Nice To Haves

Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Alteryx Server, Alteryx Designer, Azure, MongoDB)
Experience with monitoring tools, such as Datadog
Experience with data backup and recovery procedures

Responsibilities

Configure, install, and maintain the Alteryx Server platform
Monitor the platform's performance, health, and security
Implement and enforce best practices for Alteryx usage and governance
Collaborate with data analysts and business users to design and develop Alteryx workflows to meet specific data analytics and automation needs
Provide support and troubleshooting for workflow execution and optimization
Integrate Alteryx with various data sources, databases, and third-party tools
Manage data connections, ETL processes, and data quality assurance
Implement automation solutions using Alteryx to streamline business processes and data transformations
Create and manage workflow schedules and triggers
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Alteryx workflows and server configuration
Continuously optimize workflows for efficiency and speed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide Alteryx solutions
Train and support end-users to maximize their efficiency with Alteryx
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Alteryx workflows, configurations, and processes
