The Specialized Screening Program Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance with Microsoft's commercial cloud background screening program requirements, which supports background screening compliance for datacenters globally. This role is crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of personnel involved in Microsoft's cloud operations, contributing to the overall mission of empowering every person and organization on the planet.

  • Lead formal and/or ad-hoc teams of internal Microsoft stakeholders and external Supplier partners to ensure compliance with personnel security and background screening requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain CO+I-specific commercial background check processes, procedures, reports, training, and improvement plans.
  • Oversee and deliver assigned projects in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and applicable laws and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect Microsoft information.
  • Contribute to the execution and maturation of a holistic personnel security program across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align background screening requirements.
  • Build a security culture by training teams on specialized screening techniques and best practices.
  • Document and improve work processes to enhance the efficiency of the background check ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with vendor personnel to support project and program delivery.
  • Partner with procurement and legal counsel to ensure screening requirements are included in supplier contracts.
  • 4+ years' experience in Security Program or Security Management or related field.
  • 1+ year experience managing large-scale and global programs adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • 1+ year experience designing, developing, and maintaining program metrics, policies, tools, and techniques for compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, administration, risk, or related field with 8 years' experience in security or program management.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to customers and senior leaders.
  • Prior background check program management experience.
  • Experience with industry compliance frameworks and audits related to security/background screenings.
