We’re hiring a WCD Veterans Specialist to empower veterans and military family members as they transition to civilian careers and achieve long-term success.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. military veteran or immediate family member (spouse, parent, sibling, or child).
  • High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of career counseling or case management experience.
  • Experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Non-profit and/or veteran-service experience preferred; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized case management and employment counseling to veterans and eligible family members.
  • Conduct needs assessments, develop tailored employment plans, and connect participants to training and resources.
  • Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and workplace readiness.
  • Build partnerships with employers, veteran service organizations, and community agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure program compliance with funder and organizational standards.
