We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team at L3Harris. This position is responsible for creating, developing, planning, writing, and editing installation, operational, and maintenance manuals for product customer deliverables. Essential Functions: Generate technical manuals and processes using technical inputs from engineering and operations departments as part of cross-functional team. Document and maintain technical data related to the manufacturing and integration of product lines. Conduct interviews with various users and technical staff to develop product documentation. Produce documentation that is responsive to use cases. Author documentation in Adobe RoboHelp, have knowledge and use of GIT, Visual Studio Code, SharePoint, Windchill, and Azure Devops tools. Work under general supervision on large projects, manages multiple assignments independently, and tracks and reports status on project progress to key stakeholders. Explain and interpret processes and procedures to others within and outside the job area. Gather cooperation from SMEs regarding processes, practices, and procedures. Solve problems drawing from prior experiences and with analysis of the issues. Adhere to a style guide, peer review others work, and take feedback on quality and accuracy of own writing. Manage data to support engineering and technical writing deliverables using Windchill and Creoview.
