About The Position

The Specialist, DC Ops Service Delivery position will be able to execute activities of Data Center Operations and provide as-needed on-site support for regionally located computer rooms. They will ensure all requests and incident tasks are handled according to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and policies. Responsible for all DC related aspects of our Company's Infrastructure Management Lifecycle for hosted equipment including planning, coordination, installation, and decommission. Responsible for improving the overall operation ensuring that work activities are completed within SLA parameters with a high degree of quality. Coordinates onsite activities with visitors, vendors, and other technicians as required.

Requirements

  • Understanding of enterprise critical data center facilities and their mechanical and electrical requirements
  • Deep understanding of data center, IT and network standards and policies
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology environments.
  • Ability to oversee data center projects and develop and improve processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years in data center installations, break fix, diagnostics, and structured cabling
  • Strong team building, organizational and Project Management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, network and connectivity standards and hardware installation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, trouble shooting, analytical skills, project/task management skills are required.
  • Must be a key contributor to the success of technical solutions.
  • Must have the ability to constantly learn while operating in a complex and dynamic operations environment.
  • Capacity and demand planning for the data center.
  • Technical capacity and capability analysis for data center and local computer rooms.
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
  • As applicable, develop staff and maintain effective relationships with vendors.
