The Project Specialist is responsible for providing support to Project Advisors and Project Portfolio Managers to ensure successful implementation of operations that meet APL Logistics and customer expectations. The position will perform project administrative tasks such as maintaining schedules, scope documents, risk registers, and others, along with facilitating working sessions of different people in the support of the project. In the position the leadership of low complexity, low risk projects may be assigned, but under the guidance of a senior colleague. In this position the person will be in a continuous learning mode taking fundamental project management courses and demonstrating applied knowledge post training. A Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is expected to be obtained within 2-3 years based on the person's current project management resume. In preparing for the PMP® a certification in Agile project management will also be a requirement. Experience: General Experience Experience in the supply chain and logistics industry, with a strong knowledge in international logistics service areas The typical starting salary range for this position is : $59,220 - $84,600 The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed. Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
