Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • An active DoD secret security clearance is required.
  • 4 years project management or 5 years' experience in all phases of project and program management.
  • Current Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct programmatic experience in a related engineering/programmatic position.
  • Ability to work with and lead multiple support organizations in execution of day-to-day efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with management of DoD programs.
  • Training in Project Management, and ability to gain PMP certification.
  • Ability or knowledge related to DOD/Navy hierarchy and organizational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cost, schedule and technical performance of programs and projects in support of the L3Harris RTS Shipboard Systems business area.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals, business and program plans, and development of Statements of Work.
  • Be the customer contact for program activities and interface with Integrated Program Team members from various organizations within the DOD/NAVY.
  • Work effectively with the customer and L3Harris PMs to develop program concepts and establish funding requirements.
  • Support the development of contract activities with customer and L3Harris entities as required.
  • Establish and lead internal and customer IPTs to develop plans of execution and statements of problems.
  • Maintain constant awareness of program objectives, plans, schedules, risks, issues, changes, and current performance status.
  • Support day-to-day activities to assure proactive management of risk, issues, and changes.
  • Provide management and coordination for the affairs of assigned Shipboard Systems programs.
  • Support the analysis of future requirements or concepts of operations related to Shipboard Systems.
