As a Specialist-Outside Plant (OSP) Analyst , you will provide outside plant project support for a geographic area. This will include, but not be limited to support for outside plant engineering (OSPE) and/or construction (OSPC) efforts. You will work closely with a group of engineers and/or construction personnel to ensure that outside plant projects are completed on time, in scope and on budget. This may include monitoring and management of scope, budget, timeline, installation and integration. This position will be based in Madison, Wisconsin with opportunity to telecommute from a home-office.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience
  • 1+ years of utility construction – AND/OR - engineering experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new tools (i.e.: GIS, UTS, Clarity, etc.) as they are deployed.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail orientated, analytical, able to work with minimal supervision.

  • SAP Experience/knowledge
  • 1+ years of telecommunications experience
  • Project Management experience/exposure

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to engineering and construction personnel by collecting and verifying data required to complete outside plant engineering and construction tasks.
  • Examine project documentation related to outside plant functions.
  • Ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in preparation of records, statistics and reports regarding outside plant functions.
  • Maintain data integrity of certain outside plant related tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in method and procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
