The position reports to the Director of Maintenance and Reliability – N&P as a member of the N&P ETC Maintenance and Reliability Group. It is responsible for providing subject matter expertise focused on monitoring and continuously improving the Maintenance and Reliability programs through in direct leadership across N&P. The role provides training, subject matter expertise and technical support for Nutrien’s Reliability and Maintenance programs, systems, tools, and processes. The role offers process improvement leadership, training, and coaching for Nutrien’s manufacturing sites across North America, aligning with Nutrien’s Vision and Asset Care Program. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with ETC M&R teams and site resources, work independently or in teams, share knowledge, demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerBI, and SharePoint, communicate well, and apply Maintenance & Reliability best practices. This role can be located at any of Nutrien's Nitrogen, Phosphate or Corporate locations in the United States.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' of experience in manufacturing or production facility maintenance or reliability with either a technical diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Reliability, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Demonstrated high level working knowledge of Oracle required and will preferably have experience teaching others how to use Oracle in the entire work management process (Work Orders, Schedule/Plan work, Work Closure, etc.)
  • Proficiency and interest in data mining and analytics related to manufacturing, production, or maintenance/reliability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to data management, analysis, and reporting required.
  • Interest in future growth of digital changes within maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Competency in Maintenance and Reliability work processes or site experience in a Planner, Scheduler, Gatekeeper/Coordinator, Analyst, or similar role required.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership and change management experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide asset care subject matter expertise specifically focused on work management practices, this includes continuous improvement mentoring, coaching, and training.
  • Analyze statistical data, interpret site input/results, and make recommendations for action plans of ETC M&R team projects.
  • Work with the Director of M&R, ETC Groups and site resources to provide ad-hoc analysis to assess business issues and gain insights for action.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the use of Oracle. This will include teaching others how to use Oracle within the work management process (Work Orders, Schedule/Plan work, Work Closure, etc.) as well as representation on various IT improvement/replacement projects, development of new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Support major software upgrades to Oracle.
  • Works with Site Leaders to influence cultural changes and behaviors of working teams
  • Work with operating sites to support with development of maintenance and reliability goals and targets. This will be done through influence by advising site and ETC leaders of gaps in programs and short falls with metrics.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with site teams on M&R metric development and enhancements, developing strong data management practices, providing input and subject matter expertise on work processes, system transactions, data sources, unified data mapping, calculations, definitions, and validation.
  • Document and teach best practices for Maintenance and Reliability, this includes writing standards, training material and decision packages to support building change at operating sites.
  • Champion and supports Bad Actors and Vulnerabilities risk assessment and mitigation. This may include Root Cause Analysis facilitation, mentoring, or other support.
  • Provides tactical support to assist with implementing improvement strategies and actions.
  • Willingness to travel to Nutrien’s Nitrogen and Phosphate production sites, with the capability to independently travel and perform work in international locations.
