The selected candidate will provide cybersecurity support, RMF package maintenance, and system compliance activities in accordance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity requirements. This role supports Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) in maintaining system authorization and continuous monitoring efforts.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • High School diploma or HS equivalency Certificate is Acceptable equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience
  • Experience with RMF, eMASS, and A&A processes
  • IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA or Navy environments
  • Familiarity with ACAS, STIG Viewer, and vulnerability management tools
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Support RMF activities including preparation, review, and maintenance of A&A artifacts within eMASS.
  • Assist in maintaining system Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and supporting documentation.
  • Track and update Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using approved tools (e.g., ACAS/Nessus) and document findings.
  • Ensure system compliance with applicable STIGs and SRGs.
  • Assist with implementation and validation of security controls.
  • Support continuous monitoring activities and annual security reviews.
  • Assist with incident response activities and reporting procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure traceability between RMF artifacts and system configurations.
  • Coordinate with ISSOs, ISSEs, and system owners to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
