The selected candidate will serve as a senior cybersecurity professional responsible for leading RMF activities, ensuring system compliance, and supporting authorization efforts across complex systems. This role provides technical leadership to ISSOs, ISSEs, and junior cybersecurity personnel.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience
  • Strong experience with RMF, eMASS, and A&A processes
  • IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA or Navy environments
  • Familiarity with ACAS, STIG Viewer, and vulnerability management tools
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks
  • IAM Level I or higher certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead RMF activities including development, review, and maintenance of A&A artifacts within eMASS.
  • Oversee system Authority to Operate (ATO) lifecycle and ensure compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
  • Manage and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Perform advanced vulnerability assessments and validate remediation activities.
  • Ensure systems meet STIG and SRG compliance requirements.
  • Lead implementation and validation of security controls.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring and support annual security reviews.
  • Provide guidance to ISSOs, ISSEs, and system owners on cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support incident response efforts and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure traceability and integrity of RMF artifacts across systems.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations to leadership.
