The Specialist II, Learning Experience Designer (LXD-II) is an experienced designer who takes ownership of course design and ensures all deliverables meet quality and accreditation standards. This role requires a collaborative spirit, an eye for detail, and a passion for lifelong learning. Design and create interactive modules, instructional videos, podcasts, and infographics. Collaborate with Assessment Developers (AD) to design assessments: scenario-based, case-study, etc. Ensures all content is culturally inclusive and accessible, following universal design principles and applicable accessibility standards Collaborate with Assessment Developers (AD) and Instructional Designers (ID) to structure courses and learning pathways with active learning through varied methodologies: gamification, peer collaboration, assessments, and feedback loops Participate in interviews, brainstorming sessions, and feedback loops with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty members, and other internal collaborators to incorporate their knowledge in program/course design Collaborate with Academic and Innovative Technology (AIT) in the facilitation of pilot testing of new courses and analysis of feedback Maintain a current understanding of nursing and healthcare professions curriculum and professional development research and trends related to online teaching and learning practices Mentor Specialist I, Learning Experience Designers by reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback Review learner/participant feedback and analyze course data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation Participate in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise Perform other duties as assigned
