About The Position

Purpose The Specialist, HR provides support across the US Therapeutics BHR team (Immunology, Neuroscience & Eye Care, Oncology, and Specialty & US Therapeutics Operations) with specific reporting into the Immunology BHR team. The Business HR Specialist works with BHR, COEs, and the business to contribute insight on people implications and operational activities. Coordinates support from other Business HR members, practice centers and service centers when appropriate. Provides advice and interpretation of HR issues to managers and employees in a variety of settings. Works with managers and employees to resolve issues. Operates within defined parameters and within a limited scope of responsibility, either in terms of functions or size of client area served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • 0-2 years Human Resources experience.
  • Must have moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business and HR principles and practices gained through multiple business cycles in HR.
  • Understands the regulations and policies affecting HR and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or deliver projects and/or initiatives that require coordination of the efforts of others, or internal bench marking, data gathering or analysis of data. Leads a project plan, key milestones, and outcomes and measures of success. Reviews project plan with immediate manager. Example projects/initiatives may include annual goal cycle, annual compensation cycle, talent management reviews, employee surveys, Commercial HR Award, and other special projects.
  • Provides talent insights and data analytics on a regular and adhoc basis. This requires excellent data management skills utilizing Excel, Workday, and Visier, as well as partnering with IT.
  • Serve as a knowledge source for the BHR teams on AI tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Maintains contact with all levels of employees to provide a communication link with management; recognizes trends within the served unit; apprises management of significant developments within the employee population.
  • Delivers training to managers and employees on a wide variety of subjects within HR.
  • Applies and interprets division and corporate policy and practice to a variety of situations.
  • May provide BHR support as needed.
