About The Position
This is an entry- level position. The primary function of an Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist I is to assist in all of the on-site operation needs of the JEMH Health Information Management Department. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing/scanning paper based documents, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing a hybrid chart in multiple systems, and assisting in the release of information to patients and providers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous clerical experience
- Proficiency in alpha and numerical filing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to follow both written and verbal directions
- Knowledge and experience working with software applications, specifically Microsoft Windows
