About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and execution of Environmental, Health and Safety programs for Melbourne (Woody Burke), Palm Bay and Malabar S2 locations. The primary focus of this position is Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance. Essential Functions: Responsible for supporting and facilitating the implementation of an effective EHS management system regulatory compliance. Supporting the EHS weekly Reg Auditor audit process, annual site assessment and corporate compliance audits for both Health and Safety and Environmental. Coordinating divisional sustainability programs and reporting Coordinating, or supporting critical EHS projects and/or programs including but not limited to: Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication, Contractor Management, Emergency spill coordinator, Sustainability Program Coordinator, Environmental reporting and data tracking, and Environmental permitting & compliance. Coordinating risk assessments and working to deploy corrective measures to continuously reduce site hazard risk profile. Conducting training and providing guidance to site personnel, leadership, and contractors to ensure compliance with regulatory and company training requirements. Leading incident investigations, determining root causes, developing corrective actions, preparing EHS alerts, and conducting closure verification activities. Reviewing current and proposed regulations and company requirements for applicability; recommend appropriate program measures to ensure compliance. Develop proactive strategies to prepare for upcoming changes and drive actions to ensure compliance with regulatory (federal, state, county, local) and corporate requirements. Actively collaborate and participate with the EHS team to provide technical support and coordinate activities and processes across the site for Field Service Representative (FSR) Safety, Laser and Radiation, Confined Space, Tower Climbing/Working at Heights, Electrical, Machine Guarding, and LOTO. Supporting monthly site Safety Walks and Concern Reports for the Operations and Leadership and Supervisor teams with data entry. Supporting EHS programs for Brevard County Location will include local travel, which may include 2-4 trips per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in EHS management systems and sustainability programs
  • Strong knowledge of Emergency Response protocols and ability to handle emergency or time-sensitive situations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Able to facilitate coordinate EHS team functions.
  • Walking to conduct audits and Safety Walks weekly throughout the site.
  • Frequently corresponding with other employees about audits, compliance actions, and EHS requirements. Must be able to communicate accurate information.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
  • Experience leading agency inspectors during site visits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
