Specialist, Engineering Services Electrician – JLL What this job involves: Join JLL's facilities management team as a Specialist, Engineering Services Electrician, where you'll be responsible for maintaining critical electrical infrastructure that keeps our client facilities operational 24/7. This essential role involves working with both normal and emergency power systems, ensuring electrical safety and reliability across complex commercial properties. You'll apply your technical expertise to support JLL's commitment to operational excellence while contributing to the seamless facility operations that our clients depend on. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of 4-year electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in electrical trades
  • Proficiency in electrical construction and installation of electrical devices with craftsman-level quality
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective job performance
  • Physical strength and dexterity to safely perform electrical work assignments
  • Own complete set of professional hand tools necessary for electrical trade work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in commercial or institutional facility environments
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system installation and maintenance procedures
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Understanding of electrical code compliance and safety regulations
  • Experience with building automation systems and low-voltage installations
  • Customer service orientation for working in occupied facilities

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair normal and emergency power distribution systems to ensure continuous facility operations
  • Conduct maintenance, repair, and testing of emergency generators and associated equipment including motor control centers
  • Install and maintain fire alarm systems and devices to ensure building safety compliance
  • Install telephone lines and perform punch-down connections to intermediate distribution frames (IDF)
  • Install and maintain indoor and outdoor lighting circuits, power outlets, and motors
  • Service and maintain battery back-up systems and pneumatic tube systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals
