About The Position

This position in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector of the (IMS) Integrated Mission Systems Segment will join a Contracts team responsible for a diverse business area, with defense customers from various USG Departments and Agencies, various foreign governments, as well as large and small business prime contractors. This job administers, extends, negotiates, and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field and a minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires US citizenship
  • Experience with reading and interpreting contracts and statements of work

Responsibilities

  • Preparing contractual letters, Terms & Conditions, Representations & Certifications for proposals to the U.S. Government and other DoD Contractors
  • Providing audit and fact-finding support for major proposals
  • Administering and closing contracts
  • Compiling information and reports
  • Interpreting contract requirements and track contractual performance to the requirements
  • Interfacing directly with customers, senior management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution
  • Serving as the primary liaison for contractual communications between L3Harris and our customers
  • Conducting change management processes with internal team and communicating equitable adjustment rights to customers
  • Assisting in proposing and negotiating contracts for the company’s products and services in prime and subcontracting environments
  • Ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements
  • Assisting procurement personnel with significant contracting tasks, including establishing flow-down terms and conditions
  • Utilizes knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations
  • Influencing successful business outcomes to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income and free cash flow for new and continuing programs
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and training to other contracts professionals and/or support level employees. May manage projects at this level with responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product
