What You Do Support achievement of daily and monthly vehicle production targets through line control systems monitoring, daily communication, and coordination with all production stakeholders and suppliers. The person in this role will support the Production Control department’s objective to oversee ALC operations and perform line management functions to ensure production results are achieved for 2 manufacturing lines. As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also: Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota Manage overtime to achieve daily production targets through the analysis of current operating conditions throughout each shop and understanding of overall monthly plan impact. Monitor daily production progress/actual achievement, analyze impact to monthly production plan and develop recovery plans to achieve production targets. Coordinate and manage production downtime to minimize impact to daily production plan. Create/update daily production reports that are shared internal to Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, USA, and externally to Toyota and Mazda Coordination of production control systems & system kaizens Schedule creation and management for in-house, trial, and mass-production activities. Confirm daily receipt of vehicle orders and analyze order to confirm heijunka and any potential impact to production criteria is met. Participate in trial activities and through coordination of vehicle specifications and movement of trial vehicles through the plant. Work with On-Site Partner suppliers on production instructions and contingency planning Manage delayed vehicle tracking through investigation of root cause and countermeasure identification and create detailed reporting to manage company KPI. Manage (paint selectivity bank) to ensure heijunka operation from Paint to Assembly. Utilize assembly restrictions and vehicle order bank volume to schedule correct vehicle mix to assembly. Participate in and lead cross functional projects (plant shutdown planning, etc.) Performs other related duties as assigned by the department Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

  • Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of production systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking, with the ability to identify gaps, root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
  • Developing project strategies, problem-solving and countermeasures
  • Demonstrated understanding of data analysis and visualizations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Bachelor's Degree (or Higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years’ Production Control experience within a high-volume production environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing
  • Project management experience with capability to develop, lead and prioritize work, meet milestones, gain consensus, and report out status of projects
  • Experience leading complex projects/teams
  • CTPAT or other trade compliance training/certification
