About The Position

This position involves participating in teams focused on building performance and controls, requiring the use and sharing of resources, information, and tools. The role includes determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating and executing work assignments, and providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timely and quality work. The specialist is expected to model adaptability to change and new challenges. A key aspect is ensuring customer and associate safety while minimizing service costs through diagnostic techniques, proactive problem-solving, applying programming methods, implementing solutions, and following up on effectiveness. The role also involves performing special programming projects for building control systems, adapting strategies, identifying and responding to trends (alarms, defrosts, work orders), addressing manufacturer recalls, programming daylight harvesting, and achieving sustainability and energy reduction goals through programming changes. The specialist completes assignments by utilizing policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, identifying priorities, and communicating progress. The role requires demonstrating up-to-date expertise, providing guidance, supporting business needs, and building commitment. It also involves implementing business solutions by building relationships, identifying needs, monitoring progress, and adapting to demands. Compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics is essential, including fostering a culture of respect, belonging, and integrity. This includes promoting a positive associate and customer/member experience, embracing diversity, developing others through feedback and coaching, building trusting relationships, and communicating effectively. Responsibilities

  • Participates in teams in building performance and controls by using and sharing resources information and tools determining customer needs and business priorities coordinating and executing work assignments providing advice feedback and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
  • Ensures customer and associate safety while minimizing service costs for problems by conducting diagnostic techniques providing proactive solutions to problems applying programming methods implementing solutions and following up to ensure effectiveness of solutions.
  • Performs special or unique programming projects to building controls systems by adapting or changing the building controls strategies identifying and responding to trends with alarms defrosts and work orders identifying and responding to manufacturer recalls programming daylight harvesting and ensuring sustainability initiatives and energy reductions are achieved based on programming changes.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities in Building Performance and Controls by using policies data and resources collaborating with Managers coworkers customers and other business partners identifying priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback.
  • Demonstrates up to date expertise and applies this to the development execution and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders identifying business needs determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices monitoring progress and results recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities and adapting to competing demands organizational changes and new responsibilities.
