What You Do What You Do Will drive continuous improvement initiatives centered around Assembly process and equipment efficiency, reliability, material issues/improvements, process integrity and vehicle quality. As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also: Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers Support/initiate the development, manage and direct completion of projects to improve all KPI’s Collaborate with production and maintenance departments to solve chronic problems and implement countermeasure activity Develop and execute annual plans aligned with company and department objectives Understand the technical aspects of assembly operations, establish critical process control parameters and ensure process parameter management Coordinate and manage supplier/contractor activity to include job scope, expectations, safety and schedules Coordinate new model preparation and launch Foster two-way communication at all levels to ensure real issues are known Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown periods to support equipment modifications and installation, material conversions, vehicle preparations for production Ability to work 2nd shift, rotating shifts, and split shifts Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in cross functional, cross company, and cross-sectional processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience
  • Problem Solving Methods
  • Basic Knowledge of PLC’s
  • Working knowledge of automotive assembly and associated processes
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, datum structures
  • Understanding of Electrical Systems
  • Background in industrial assembly equipment
  • 2+ years DC Tooling Experience
  • Capital expenditure project proposal and management experience
  • Previous process cycle time study experience

Responsibilities
