Toyotomi America Corporation (TAC) in Springfield, KY manufactures metal stampings for the OEM Automotive Industry. Summary/Objective (role description): Provide support for Service programs from the initial launch through SOP. Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary): Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Conducting weld trials: Physically assembling new parts with new tooling. Adjusting tooling to meet dimensional conditions. Ensuring tooling is production ready. 2. Working closely with other departments to improve efficiency and quality control. 3. Training: Train team members on the proper process of assembling new parts. 4. Cycle times/run standards: Taking and providing initial cycle times to PC and assy. 5. Tooling modifications/repair: Investigating and troubleshooting issues with existing jigs. Modify jigs to poka-yoke. Yokoten to other jigs. Repairing tooling damage incurred from overuse, abuse, neglect, etc. 6. Fabricating new tooling: Fabrication skills (welding, cutting, drilling and tapping, milling, torches, etc.) 7. Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above to accomplish TAC goals and objectives Support duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following 1. Process design: Taking a given assembled part and laying out the design of how it is best for TAC to produce (sequencing, tooling needed, equipment needed, etc.) 2. Preparing process plans for assembly/QA: Step by step process instruction. Knowledge and understanding of parts prints and the order of which a part is best assembled. 3. Tooling: Assist in tracking tooling builds/status and arrival. Able to work with vendors and give direction during tooling builds. 4. CMS work: Assigning and entering tooling, verifying BOMs, etc. 5. New project investigation: assist in visiting NAMCs to verify processes, estimations of tooling types and quantities that will need to be acquired by TAC to produce service parts, verify BOM/PRC. 6. Jig design: Assist in the proper layout of tooling in order to provide assy with the best possible process to produce parts with ergonomics and safety in mind. 7. Hemming dies: Knowledge of modifications needed in order for TAC to integrate the dies into our presses. Able to work with T&D and give direction when needed during mods and lifter builds. Assist in hemming die designs (AutoCAD). 8. Robot programming: Knowledge of Kawasaki/Yaskawa robot programming a plus. Knowledge of the hemming process needed to create in-tolerance parts. 9. Kanban pictures: Can create Kanban pictures in order to distinguish new parts from existing parts and any unique feature/s of the parts. Knowledge of how parts should properly hang on the paint line and outline this on the Kanban picture for assy use. 10. Work combination charts: Understands and able to prepare accurately. Work Environment (example): While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to conditions of heat in the summer and cold in the winter and will work near moving mechanical parts. Uniform clothing and PPE provisions are provided by the company and are designed to assist with these conditions. Team members are also exposed to noise, which may require the use of hearing protection in certain areas. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work (example): This is a full-time shift-work position. Overtime is required as needed to meet customer demand and may involve weekend work.

Requirements
