About The Position

As a Spe cia l Security Office lead, you are responsible for providing spe cia lized security expertise in direct support of the Spe cia l Security Officer at Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities ( SCIFs ) . This role requires in-depth knowledge of DoD personnel security processes and regulations, the Defense Information System for Security ( DISS ) , security facility entry and exit monitoring systems, and significant experience in spe cia l security office management. You will be responsible for analyzing data from various sources and making appropriate program recommendations to the SSO while managing all facets of a Sensitive Compartmented Information ( SCI ) program, including physical, personnel, information, and industrial security. Your duties include performing briefings such as Indoctrination, Indoctrination Assists, Debriefings, Annual Refresher Training, Defense Travel Briefing, and Courier Briefing. You will grant access to SCIFs, process outgoing and incoming visit requests, handle intelligence badge and systems account requests, and manage SCI access requests. You will provide technical expertise on Int rus ion Detection System ( IDS ) and Access Control System requirements for SCIFs, assist the SSO during preliminary inquiries to resolve SCI security incidents, and support construction or maintenance planning projects involving SCIF operations. Additionally, you will help develop, update, and manage lifecycle documents for SCIF management, including records management documents, standard operating procedures, emergency plans, fixed facility checklists, appointment letters, IDS acceptance testing, UL2050 certifications, punchlists, visitor logs, authorized personnel rosters, and accreditation letters. Upon construction, modification, and accreditation or reaccreditation of a SCIF, you will assist the SSO in annual lifecycle management and inspections in accordance with ICD-705 and applicable policies and procedures. You will also provide spe cia l security customer service, manage the SSO customer service email inbox, process requests for SCI access, verify security clearance information, c ond uct SCI and collateral indoctrinations, execute non-disclosure agreements, process foreign travel and contact reports, handle permanent certification and visit requests, process state, local, tribal, and private sector clearance requests, and manage annual refresher training, defense travel briefings, intelligence badge requests, systems user account requests, and co-use agreements. Your responsibilities further include providing ongoing organizational analysis and technical support for Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, and Department of Defense security policies and procedures, advising on administrative support services, supporting the control and maintenance of appropriate databases such as DISS, EQIP, and NBIS, and applying government regulations, policies , and procedures, including DoD SAP / SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives and manuals, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, and applicable ICDs. Requirements

Responsibilities
