About The Position

The Special Projects Coordinator solves customer issues, analyzes programs, and services, and provides recommendations for improvements while serving as the liaison to community groups and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of workforce development, economic development, business intelligence and trends, and project management.
  • Knowledge of effective management techniques and practices to include planning, strategy development and implementation, assessment of outcomes and accountability.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, technology, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of the communities being served and understanding local needs and resources.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, organizational skill, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, Board staff, and the public.
  • Ability to develop strategies and solutions.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Ability to relocate within the service delivery area.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to relocate within the service delivery area.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and resolves causes of customer disputes, facilitates resolution to complaints/concerns and discusses with management to improve customer relations.
  • Researches, analyzes, implements, coordinates, promotes, and evaluates special programs/grants/contracts and confirms the process adheres to regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Participates in the development and administration of program/grants/contract’s budget.
  • Analyzes and recommends program and service delivery improvements.
  • Serves as consumer and regulatory liaison and conducts community events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
