About The Position

Under the direction of the Director or assigned Deputy Director, performs a variety of complex technical, professional, and administrative functions in support of the operations, activities, and projects of the Public Health Department. The Special Projects Coordinator - Public Health is a single position class distinguished by its responsibility to perform professional level administrative tasks, including project research, analysis, and special studies, in support of a wide range of departmental programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public health, health science, or public or business administration.
  • Four years of increasingly responsible professional analytical or program management experience related to public health or health care.
  • OR a master's degree in public health, health science, or public or business administration, and three years of increasingly responsible analytical, program development, or coordination experience.
  • A valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex technical, professional, and administrative functions in support of the Public Health Department.
  • Conduct project research, analysis, and special studies.
  • Support a wide range of departmental programs.
