The Special Procedures Technologist provides health care services by applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. This role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. The technologist is expected to exercise professional judgment, maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics, and recognize various patient conditions to provide appropriate care, ensuring successful completion of exams or procedures. The position is within Baptist Health Imaging, a department that offers a wide range of services including Computed Tomography, Diagnostic X-Ray, Interventional Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT Imaging, and Ultrasound.
