About The Position

Position Summary: Performs diagnostic radiographic, fluoroscopic, angiographic, and computerized tomographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Uses independent judgment to accomplish the efficient completion of prescribed radiologic procedures utilizing good patient care and proper radiation protection standards. Processes films and assures correct film and file documentation. Records information related to exams into department computer. Provides services in a manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in advance radiologic procedures and/or possess capabilities to perform these procedures; or may consider recent graduate, within the past two years, from a Radiology Technology program, required.
  • Must obtain within one year of employment: CRT, (Calif. Radiologic Technology certificate), California Fluoroscopy permit, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registry (R).
  • Current BLS certification, required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic, fluoroscopic, angiographic, and computerized tomographic procedures
  • Completes prescribed radiologic procedures utilizing good patient care and proper radiation protection standards
  • Processes films and assures correct film and file documentation
  • Records information related to exams into department computer.
  • Provides services in a manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
