Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder's Bay Area offices in California are seeking a Special Inspector to join our growing team. With a steady and growing backlog of work, we are excited to find the right person to join our growing Bay Area team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, and perform routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and concrete compressive strength tests. The Special Inspector will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals.

Requirements

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
• Radiation Safety & Nuclear Density Gauge Operation Training
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
• ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
• Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook software is required.
• Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area of California.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications
• Perform routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and concrete compressive strength tests
• Interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets
• Perform various tasks to meet our client project goals
