We have an opening for a Staff tech in our Production Facility in Goleta, California, that is involved in the packaging of IR detectors for high reliability space, military and commercial applications. You will train to become a skilled electro-mechanical technician in a variety of processes as assigned by management. You will be tasked with soldering several components while utilizing small hand tools. Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. This is a 1st shift, onsite position in Goleta, CA.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Clean room experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

• IPC J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with IR Systems, Focal Plane Assembly packaging processes
• Experience with FOD and FOD-prevention methods
• Experience with ESD protocols

Responsibilities

• Conduct test measurements utilizing multimeter
• Use several types of small hand tools
• Calibrate equipment
• RADP system to follow instructions on proper builds
• Factory services protocols
• Build cable assemblies while utilizing microscopes
• Create different types of harnesses while working off schematics.
