This role is for a Special Events Sales Manager who is passionate, motivated, driven, entrepreneurial, resourceful, innovative, forward-thinking, and committed. The role focuses on the financial performance of the department, ensuring revenue generation according to individual sales quotas, and assisting the Director of Sales (DOS) in creating annual sales plans for various market segments including Convention, Association, Incentive, Tour & Travel, Social, Local, Corporate, SMERF, and DMC. Key responsibilities include meeting and exceeding individual sales goals, consistently fulfilling sales call quotas, understanding the competitive landscape, and handling initial inquiries promptly. The manager will develop and maintain targeted client databases, build positive relationships with Convention & Visitors Bureaus, professional organizations, local chambers of commerce, hotels, and vendors. The role also involves ensuring optimal venue perception, adhering to Live Nation standards, monitoring and fulfilling required reports, maintaining accurate event financial records, generating proposals, negotiating and generating contracts, managing post-event correspondence, and handling client relations. Expertise in software programs like Caterease, Cendyn, Exact Target, Rome, and Hoovers is required. The manager will also solicit new and existing clients, create promotional programs, develop sales strategies for defined market segments, and actively participate in local civic and business organizations, tradeshows, networking events, and off-site sales efforts.
