About The Position

We are hiring for the role of Special Events Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation Department.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and operate various Department-hosted events and programs.
  • Coordinate and manage various event tasks, including but not limited to planning timelines, booking entertainment/vendors, coordinating staffing, & assisting with set up/tear down.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets.
  • Collaborate on sponsor acquisition, fulfillment, and activation.
  • Promote the Recreation Division throughout the community, including developing marketing material and marketing events on social media.
  • Represent department at various community activities.
  • Supervise and direct assigned personnel.
