About The Position

Special Events, Game Day Service and Detour Supervisor unique role compasses the Southern Nevada public transportation through the rigorous entertainment capital of the world. The Special Event, Game Day Service and Detour Supervisor provides above and beyond leadership on a day-to-day basis. With a growing valley and entertainment capital in southern Nevada, this role specializes in the movement of the community within this transit system through logistical planning, organizing and implementation of designed routes in partnership with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) when special events and detours arise daily. The Special Event, Game Day Service and Detours Supervisors will provide overall leadership, guidance and real-time support for all employees and the growing ridership throughout southern Nevada. As for Game Day Service, the Special Events, Game Day Service and Detour Supervisor, in conjunction with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), provide specialized shuttle service for all sports and entertainment enthusiasts. Game Day Service Supervision will strategize, prioritize, executes, and deliver reliable service to and from all sports and entertainment events that the Game Day Service shuttle service provides. This position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada in supporting the RTC.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Transportation Road Supervision experience or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain a Commercial License (CDL) class B with passenger endorsement.
  • Must pass a DMV driving record check and maintain clean driving record throughout employment.
  • Must be able to exhibit excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to operate iPad, cellphone, and personal computer.
  • Must have intermediate MS Office and e-mail experience. (I.E. Familiarity with excel to maintain tracker algorithms. Familiarity with word documents to read and build action plans, detour sheets and company memos.)
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
  • Ability to work independently and objectively.
  • Must be willing to have flexibility with schedule and work in a 24/7 environment, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must pass special events, detour, and game day service training.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in theU.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Must have other computerize/software tools (I.E. Swiftly, RTC Interactive Map, Orbcad, NDOT Traffic Cameras and Google Maps (I.E. User knowledge to utilize for detour and bus stop ID's. NDOT Traffic- user knowledge to utilize for level 3 events and reporting observations. Etc.)
  • Report writing and team leadership a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Objectively disseminating client-focused technologies while interactively incepting reliable catalyst for change.
  • Design and logistical observation on action planning preparation for Special Events, Game Day Service and Detours.
  • Data input and investigation of Additional Service, Game Day Service and Special Event Additional Service Monthly Report.
  • Game Day Service leadership and point of contact.
  • Special Event leadership and point of contact.
  • Detour and Stop Closure investigation, observations, and logistical planning.
  • Assist with Special Events, Game Day Service and Detour training courses for all operators and staff.
  • Proactively seeking out and helping to initiate special events and game day service improvement projects.
  • Assist operators with on-time pullouts.
  • Ensure pre-trip inspections comply with performance expectations and vehicles meet appearance standards.
  • Help achieve maximized on-time performance and productivity through service adjustments.
  • Make regular observations of operators to ensure high quality service provision.
  • Observes driving skills and work habits of drivers in the field.
  • Ensure that all operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards and are in possession of proper licensing and certifications.
  • Assist dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle change outs that occur in the field.
  • Assist operators with service or passenger problems.
  • Conduct road observations according to client and local policy.
  • Monitor street operations for on-time performance and schedule adherence.
  • Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service items that affect safety and performance, identify potential safety hazards, and provide feedback to be incorporated into daily operations procedures.
  • Responsible for onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam, zonar and mentoring/coaching drivers.
  • Will serve as a Shift Manager when not performing SD&D Supervisor
  • Provide Oversight and issue disciplines as needed.
