Ready to make a powerful impact across middle and high school? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Buckeye, AZ for the '25–'26 school year. If you thrive on the variety of supporting students across grades 6–11—from small-group resource to self-contained settings—this is an ideal opportunity to leverage your expertise! Position Overview: Deliver specialized, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects across multiple settings (pull-out, in-class support, or self-contained). Serve as Case Manager by documenting services, monitoring progress, and ensuring IEP development and compliance. Direct paraprofessional support and implement structured classroom management/positive behavior strategies, especially in self-contained settings. Collaborate with the Special Education team, general education staff, and support personnel to promote student inclusion and continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (Grades 6–12): Mild-Moderate, Cross-Categorical, or specialized certificate
- Valid Content Area/Generalist Certification or demonstrate "Highly Qualified" status through coursework/testing
