Position Overview: Lead classroom instruction for 7th or 8th Grade Multi-Subject classrooms, or High School Science, depending on your expertise and certification. Assess and identify student needs to create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), implementing modifications that ensure students with diverse learning needs meet rigorous academic standards. Partner with general education teachers, families, and students to track progress and ensure a cohesive, high-achieving learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Required)

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in special education with a background in managing middle or high school classrooms (Preferred)
