About The Position

The King's Daughters' School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to create a positive, goal-oriented learning environment for students with developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • TN Teaching License with SPED endorsement
  • Must pass background checks and drug screen
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs., kneel/bend for extended periods, and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • TB skin test required upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, inviting classroom that promotes student success
  • Develop and implement individualized goals using formal and informal assessments
  • Collect student progress data and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Mentor classroom assistants and model best practices
  • Manage classroom behavior using evidence-based techniques
