About The Position
Overview Desert Choice Schools is looking for Special Education Teachers and Intern Teachers at our schools in Arizona. Classroom size of 12 2 Behavior Technicians in each classroom Relocation Offered 11 paid holidays and 6 days of paid time off Professional Development opportunities Tuition Reimbursement 401K Starting salary of $54,000 plus experience Responsibilities The Special Education Teacher is responsible to implement all Desert Choice Schools/LEARN Behavioral Program Components with integrity as well as oversee behavior technicians’ implementation of these components: Desert Choice Schools/LEARN Behavioral Clinical Program Curriculum and Instruction Special Education Services
Requirements
- Active and valid Special Education K-12 Cross Categorical or mild/moderate teaching certificate issued by the AZ Department of Education
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Arizona state IVP fingerprint card
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
- Experience working with emotional and/or behaviorally challenged students preferred
