About The Position

Special Education Teacher (Resource Room – Full-Time, In-Person) – 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, in-person position is focused on providing resource-based support to students across combined grade levels, with a focus on ELA and Math. Requirements

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
• Must complete fingerprinting prior to start date
• Passion for inclusive, student-centered instruction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a resource room setting preferred, but not required—new graduates are welcome and will be supported with mentoring

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individual instruction in ELA and Math
• Implement IEPs and track student progress
• Attend IEP and staff meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
