Position Overview We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide in-home instruction and parent training for children with developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with families to implement individualized education and behavior support plans in the client's home setting. The cases typically occur after school, with some cases starting before school!

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field
  • Certified Special Education Teacher(must have at time of interview)
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering Parent Counseling and Training (PCT)
  • Experience conducting in-home Behavior Intervention Services (BIS)
  • Background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized academic and behavioral instruction in-home
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans using ABA strategies
  • Conduct Parent Counseling and Training (PCT) sessions
  • Monitor client progress and modify plans as needed
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
  • Stay current on best practices in ABA and special education
