This position plans and provides instruction to students based on state, District, and school curricula and requirements, and based on the students’ social and other formative skills. This position serves students placed in the ASCEND, ATLAS, or ARISE programs which are specialized, structured special education setting designed to support students with significant behavior, emotional, and mental health needs. Instruction is delivered in a self-contained environment with integrated academic, behavioral, and therapeutic supports to ensure students can safely access curriculum and develop social-emotional and self-regulation skills.
