About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a high-energy Paraprofessional for a Special Education Aide role at a premier school in Harrisburg, PA. This position involves assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by modifying assignments and providing one-on-one academic coaching in a full resource room. The role requires helping students navigate a rigorous, arts-based curriculum, ensuring they stay focused on complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Additionally, the paraprofessional will provide "pacing" assistance and behavioral interventions to maintain student engagement and emotional regulation, and facilitate a structured environment by managing transitions, organizing materials, and tracking student timeliness. This role is for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree, 48+ college credits, OR a passing ParaPro exam score
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a secondary (high school) academic environment
• Prior experience or knowledge assisting with IEPs and adapting curriculum for diverse learning styles

Responsibilities
