About The Position

Teacher - Early Autism Program (EAP) works with students between the ages of two and five individually. A Teacher EAP must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assure that IFSP/IEP mandates are fulfilled
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
  • Coordinate development of reports and recommendations
  • Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection and charting systems
  • Collaborate with related service providers, center-based staff, consultants and supervisors, as necessary
  • Conduct educational activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need
  • Assure appropriate communication with parents/caregivers, including encouragement of parent participation in instructional sessions
  • Assure that all required paperwork is completed
