About The Position

Notice of Vacancy Date: November 24, 2025 Deadline to Apply: December 8, 2025 Position: Intensive Interventions Assistant: Classified #21007 Location: Silver Creek Primary School Status: Full-Time Beginning Date: ASAP Qualifications: 48 credit hours of college level classes OR High School Diploma and Pass the Parapro Assessment within the first year of employment. OR May consider other experience or credentials Responsibilities & Duties: Work with students who require intensive support. Use assigned instructional learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment. Maintain confidentiality. Report to supervising teachers and follow assigned plans. Be able to adjust to flexible schedules and tasks as needed, from day to day. Supervise teacher planned activities. Assist special education students with assignments/projects, individually or in groups. Assist in preparation of instructional materials. Escort students under direction of the teacher, as needed. Assist students with adaptive devices, as trained and needed. If applicable, tend to toileting, feeding, medical and personal hygiene needs, following training. Train and maintain a currently "trained" status in Safe Crisis Management. Be willing to train in specialized interventions for students, as needed. Maintain accurate performance records of students and communicate progress to the teacher. Support students in the general education environment with adaptations and modifications, as assigned. Have good verbal and written communication skills. Be capable of physically assisting students who have disabilities as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, physically managing, etc.) Attend staff and team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain punctual and regular attendance ?To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility stated above, satisfactorily. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to move places, handle or feel objects, tools or control; reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Requirements

  • 48 credit hours of college level classes
