Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or other related degree field (Required)
  • Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification
  • Supervisory experience in a school setting
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
  • State License of Practice and/or Certification
  • CPR/First Aid
  • TB/Physical

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or other related degree field (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Academy Performance - Assist in the planning and implementation of goal setting by integrating current education and special education best practices
  • Compliance - Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards as well as state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Supervision - Supervise, manage, and evaluate education staff at all Hope Academy locations, conducting monthly check-in visits to ensure student progress and compliance
  • External Communication - Communicate effectively and regularly with faculty, staff, parents and students and document in accordance with Hope’s policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
