Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or other related degree field (Required)
- Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification
- Supervisory experience in a school setting
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
- Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
- Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
- State License of Practice and/or Certification
- CPR/First Aid
- TB/Physical
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or other related degree field (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Academy Performance - Assist in the planning and implementation of goal setting by integrating current education and special education best practices
- Compliance - Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards as well as state and federal regulatory requirements
- Supervision - Supervise, manage, and evaluate education staff at all Hope Academy locations, conducting monthly check-in visits to ensure student progress and compliance
- External Communication - Communicate effectively and regularly with faculty, staff, parents and students and document in accordance with Hope’s policies and procedures
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
