About The Position

Overview: Job Description Summary: Collaborates with the General Counsel to provide legal advice and take legal action. Supervises other attorneys and staff in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and strategic objectives. Job Description: Essential Functions: Provides strategic legal counsel to hospital leadership and operational teams on a broad range of healthcare legal matters, with emphasis on litigation, disputes, and payor-related issues, including government programs such as Medicaid. Manages and oversees litigation and dispute resolution, including pre-litigation matters, supervision of outside counsel, and advising on risk, exposure, and resolution strategies. Advises on regulatory compliance and risk management, including interpretation and application of federal and state healthcare laws, responses to audits and investigations, and development of policies and procedures. Reviews, drafts, and negotiates operational and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with organizational objectives. Requirements

Juris Doctorate, required.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, required.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Must possess good practical judgment and legal skills sufficient to render independent legal advice.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Ten years of legal experience, including both in-house and private practice, with concentration in the areas of clinical and non-clinical research, technology transfer and other related experience, required.
